2nd May 2008
The SACH has been invited to join a new Steering Group looking at the development of an an integrated programme for a National Co-ordinated Approach to Tissue Viability.
The remit of this Steering Group is to ensure that the programme of work is closely aligned to what the service requires.
The Steering Group is chaired by Annie Buchanan, Nurse Director, NHS Fife, and has membership from stakeholders with responsibility for ensuring that tissue viability support and care in Scotland is improved.
To ensure that the programme's deliverables are achieved, the Steering Group will deliver the project's scope as outlined in the Project Initiation Document (PID); will meet on a monthly basis; and will report progress to the Programme Board, which is chaired by Chief Nursing Officer, Paul Martin.
Frances Smith is representing the SACH on this Steering Group. "It is the aim of the SACH that all Community Hospitals will benefit from this programme and I will ensure that members of the SACH members are kept informed about the programme's progress."
