Better Cancer Care - A Discussion

Better Health Better Care, The Scottish Government’s action plan for health and wellbeing in Scotland, recognised the integral part played in delivering palliative and end of life care by health and social care professionals.

Following a report by the Scottish Partnership of Palliative Care identifying that standards of palliative and end of life care were variable across Scotland and that cancer patients were more likely to receive greater support than those with non-malignant conditions towards the end of life, Better Health Better Care is committed to standardising palliative and end of life care across Scotland.

As a result, Better Cancer Care - A Discussion was launched by The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing on February 12, 2008.
