New Girvan Community Hospital - Update
2nd May 2009
Construction of the new Girvan Community Hospital is well underway, with an expected completion date of February 2010.
"Staff are all busily engaged in the comissioning process and looking at newer, smarter ways of working," said Dr Bruce McMaster, lead GP at Girvan Community Hospital, who added that a site visit is planned for staff for May.
"We are waiting to hear from our Public Reference Group regrading the name of the new build and plans are underway to comission artwork for display," continued Dr McMaster.
In addition, work is currently on-going with regard to service development and plans to bring new services and develop telehealth services.
At this year's SACH Symposium, we would like to focus on other Community Hospitals developments. If you are involved in a new Community Hospital or a new build for an existing Community Hospital, please contact frances@scotcommhosp.org.uk.
