SACH 2009 SYMPOSIUM - UPDATE
12th September 2009

A couple of exciting - and very interesting - last minute additions have been made to the 2009 SACH Symposium, which is taking place on October 30/31 at the Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld.

Derek Feeley, Director of Healthcare Policy and Strategy, Directorate for eHealth, Scottish Government, will be opening the Symposium. During his presentation, Derek will be focusing on the new Quality Framework, which has just been sent out for consultation.

Telehealth Unleashed promises to be another highlight of the Symposium and now has the added bonus of input from NHS 24, with presentations by George Crooks, Medical Director, and Chris Stewart, Director for Clinical Development from NHS 24. This section of the Symposium will introduce a new format to the Symposium, with the presentations, which will look at various aspects of telehealth, being followed by the opportunity to try out the various telehealth options featured, ask questions and find out first-hand if they would be applicable to your area.

Dr Andrew Buist has been added to Saturday's programme and we strongly suspect his presentation will be eagerly awaited by the delegates. Andrew, who is the Deputy Chair of the BMA's Scottish General Practitioners Committee, will be discussing the new GP Contract - so stand by for sparks flying!
