SIMPLY THE BEST - A joint 2-day event!

As part of a more integrated approach towards Shifting the Balance of Care the Scottish Association of Community Hospitals was invited to support a joint conference this year with the Scottish Government’s Reshaping Care Improvement Network.

The two day event held on 27th and 28th October was exceptionally well attended with over 350 delegates taking part over the two days.

The SACH hosted an informative exhibition area to share progress and a number of people requested further information on specific issues – such as, the Learning Needs Analysis Report recently undertaken between the SACH and NHS Education for Scotland.

On the Friday of the event, the SACH hosted a sessions on "Effective Community Hospitals" and in the afternoon, supported a session on Workforce Planning and Education.

Both sessions stimulated considerable interest in Community Hospitals and the future direction to be taken in line with the NHS Quality Strategy.

We would like to thank all of our members who supported this event and hope that they felt as enthusiastic about it as we did.
