The National Patient Safety Alliance

To promote the National Patient Safety Alliance initiative, a three-day event was held on 14th-16th January at the SECC in Glasgow.

The purpose of this event, which was attended by every NHS Board, was to provide detailed information on the way in which the National Patient Safety Alliance initiative will be managed across Scotland.

At the moment, the initiative's main focus is on acute services and community and primary care will follow.

"It is vital that the SACH support this work," said Frances Smith, SACH Director and a member of the National Patient Safety Alliance Steering Group.
