Workshop: Helping Older People Stay At Home

A workshop looking at helping older people to stay at home using familiar technology is being held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the West Park Conference Centre in Dundee.

The workshop aims to bring together health and social care professionals and patients to discuss and progress thinking about the use of appropriate technology to support elderly people at home, as well as aligning thinking about investment and disinvestment within NHS Tayside's Older People Strategic Framework. In addition, the workshop will be considering how to identify and define local opportunities for evaluation and research in this area.

The workshop, which features Moira Mackenzie of the Joint Improvement Team and Heinz Wolff of Brunel University, is free. Although the workshop will be focusing on Tayside, places are available for interested people from outwith Tayside.
